Chilli Two coming ...
Chilli is now ten years old. Two years ago I said ....Chilli is an unusual bridge bidding system that places simplicity and universality of rules as its highest priority. In building the system, my intention was to produce a balance between a robust, tournament-level tool and a small, clean definition. I wanted practical bidding focussed on evaluation, not memory.
That's all still true, but it is in the nature of things (or at least in my nature) to continuously strive for improvement, and so we arrive at Chilli Two – a revised system that is a little more artificial than the original, but that is even simpler, and yet functionally improved to meet the main deficiencies of Chilli One that were identified by my partners and Chilli's small but enthusiastic international following.
