The rules for any bridge system vary depending on what has happened in the auction so far. Auction types are fundamental in Chilli, and although there is nothing difficult in the concepts, the effect is quite different to other systems, and therefore counter-intuitive.
In Chilli there are just three auction types, each with a distinctive set of rules:
- neutral auctions: calm exploration
- disturbed auctions: rude interruptions
- fit auctions: happiness.
